    Thank you TN, I have done this now and I am still having the problem where the 1515+ looses connectivity within a minute or two of switching on. I cannot find it after a few minutes using Synology Assistant but it appears to remain on with all lights and Lan, disks spinning but no network...

    So an update, I managed to get the unit to boot by removing all drives, then power on boot, reinstalling drives, hitting refresh and then on request, reinstalling the DSM. So I haven't fried the CPU phew... I guess I need to replace the resistor on the power board, is this easy to get to? I...

    I have gone back and read some recent pages and it seems I may have overload the cpu by putting that resistor. I have removed the resistor but the unit still refuses to boot the fans turn on slowly but no lights. Is there anything i can do?

    I am from New Zealand, I saw the fix in the image below and applied it and everything was fine for 6 weeks, should I undo this and apply the fix on page 7-8 please?

    I have read through this thread and applied the Atom CPU Resistor and the transistor replacement. I have then applied the resistor next to the transistor and everything worked fine for 6 weeks! Today my 1515+ will only stay connected to the network and responding for 1 minute before it stops...
