Important notes​

2. This update will restart your Synology NAS.

Fixed Issues​

1. Fixed an unexpected issue that may occur when users Safe Ejected a single-volume storage pool that was created on DSM 6.2.4 or earlier.
2. Fixed an issue where certain packages couldn't function properly shortly after restarting DSM.
3. Fixed an unexpected issue that may occur when users tried to repair degraded storage pools that were previously migrated from a different version of DSM.

Habe meine beiden Syno's gestern früh upgedated (mit Reboot) und bisher keine Probleme festgestellt.

Guten Abend!

Auf meiner RS1221+ (vor ca. einer Woche neu eingerichtet) wird mir das 42661 Update 3 zum Download angezeigt.
Aktuell läuft sie auf Update 1.

Allerdings wechselt nach dem Klick auf Download und dem erfolgreichen Herunterladen (dazu kommt eine Meldung) der Button “Download“ nicht auf „Jetzt aktualisieren“.
Hatte erst gedacht das ist irgendwie das Browser-Caching, aber nein - ist es nicht.

Mir wird weiterhin nur angezeigt, dass ich das Update 3 laden kann… Das kann ich auch nochmals tun (getestet), das ändert aber nichts. Es kommt nach dem Download nur nochmals eine Push-Nachricht, dass das Update jetzt geladen wurde und zur Installation bereit steht…

Was läuft da schief? Das ist quasi eine frische DSM-Installation. Bis auf das aktivieren der Mail-Benachrichtigungen habe ich auf dem System noch nichts weiter eingerichtet.
Auch kein Synology-Konto oder Active-Insights.

Mir ist klar, dass ich einfach den manuellen Prozess anstoßen könnte - ich würde aber gerne verstehen wo es da hakt… immerhin ist das System ja frisch und völlig unverbastelt.

Oder muss ich den folgenden Satz der Release Notes so lesen, dass das Update zwar runterzuladen ist und mir angezeigt wird, mir die automatische Installation aber nicht angeboten wird, weil ich das Update nicht „benötige“:

Freue mich über Erklärungen.

PS: Der Download hat wohl auch stattgefunden. Jedenfalls gab es nicht nur die entsprechende Mitteilung dazu, sondern es werden auch ein paar MB weniger verfügbarer Speicherplatz als zuvor angezeigt. Also es müsste demnach geladen sein - auch wenn ich nicht weiß, wo ich schauen könnte um das zu prüfen.

Nachtrag: Huch… Jetzt ist der Speicherplatz kommentarlos wieder freigegeben (Stand wie vor dem Download) und mir wird das Update 4 zum Download angeboten.

Hat der einfach zu spät gemerkt, dass das Update 3 nicht mehr aktuell ist?
