Hallo zusammen,
ich habe mal Synology in Taiwan angefunkt zum Thema Stromverbrauch, da ich das ein wenig verwirrend fand bezgl. Begriffe und Angaben. Die mail will ich euch nicht vorenthalten. Die letzte mail is zuerst, also unten anfangen zu lesen. Zu dem Thema gabs ja schon ein paar einträge, aber jetzt was offizielles von Synology (übersetzten muss jeder selbst )
Gruß aus München

Thank you for your follow up. Scheduling shut-down and shutting down by pressing the power button both lead to the same result, thus, 0.2 W applies for both cases. We will consider putting the 0.2 W to the website. Thank you for the heads up and wish you a great weekend.
Best regards,

Dear Edward,
thank you ver much for your super fast response. Before I will buy the 209 I would like to clarify your answer. You are stating that the system needs 0.2 W when the 209 is switched off. Does this also apply if the system shuts down with the "Scheduled Power On/Off feature" and not by pressing the "off" button
There seems to be some confusion in the newsgroup. Also on the webpages this is not really clear. May I suggest to include the 0.2 on the specifications overview on the website.
Best regards

Thank you for considering the DS209. There is a simple circuit to monitor the power button so the system can power on when the button is pushed. The circuit consumes very low power, approximately 0.2 W.

Message: Hello Synology Team,
I would like to buy the new 209 NAS. A very importnant feature for me is the Scheduled Power On/Off feature. Unfortunately I can not find any figures about the power consumption after shuting down.
You only have a value for hibernation. But that should be different to scheduled turn off.
Can you please tell me the power consumption after shutting down. I would suppose it is not 0.
