DSM 7.2 Widgets taking 20 seconds to appear when there is no Internet

My Internet has been down for 4 days and won't be fixed until tomorrow.

• On both my Synology NAS running DSM 7.2.2 the widgets panel takes 20 seconds to appear. The DSM webpage appears within 1 second.
• On my old Synology NAS running DSM 6.2.4 the widgets panel appears within 1 second.

I don't understand why having no internet would affect the widgets panel in DSM 7.2.2 and not in DSM 6.2.4. It is like DSM 7.2.2 is trying to access the Internet before opening the widget panel!?!?

Have you activated support for Synology for the transmission of data? Then I can imagine that it takes so long until a timeout comes back. Otherwise the network traffic would have to be analyzed with Wireshark.

I've uninstalled Active Insight, if that's what you mean.

I removed the default gateway from my DS1819+ as a test and restarted it to reproduce your problems. However, the widget panel opens directly on the DS1819+ with DSM 7.2.2 U2.

Ich habe internet und die wigs brauchen auch sehr lange bis sie da sind. Dann zeigen sie nicht alles richtig, muss immer den wigs Knopf noch einmal klicken

komisch, hier : DS218+ , DSM7.2.2 aktuelles update, die Widgets sind sofort da, zeigen auch alles richtig an..
ist vielleicht noch eine andere Systemüberwachung auf der DS installiert, oder braucht das Recourcen Widget bei Auslastung länger ??

@DaveR: The uptime of your Synology NAS is almost two months. Restart it and test whether the problem still exists.

Bei mir beobachte ich es vor allem an den rs822+ und auch den VDSM mit 7.2.2

Problem hatte ich echt noch nie, eventuell mal kurz verzögert wenn ich per QuickConnect aufgeschaltet war.

Nein, bei mir ist es lokal oder vpn
Die wigs gehen zwar auf nach einer Zeit, aber Inhalt ist statisch
In dem Res Monitor bewegt sich zum Bsp nichts.
Klicke ich oben rechts nochmals auf das wigs Icon, dann startet die aufzechnung erst.
Änlich geht rs auch mit der Liste der eingeloggten User

I googled Reboot tut gut and found coffee mugs, t-shirts and tote bags

For me it's Reboot tut nervig!

I always have open many, many, SSH shells, PuTTY tabs, Explorer windows, browser windows and tabs, notepad windows etc for research and script development etc. At least PuTTY, Notepad++ and the browser remember what I had open.

@maxblank I already have "Send device analytics" disabled on all 3 Synology NAS.

My fibre Internet is working again and DSM is back to it's normal opening in less than second.
