If you run https://github.com/007revad/Synology_HDD_db with the -S option it will set the DSM partitions and swap partitions on the HDDs to "write_mostly" which makes DSM prefer to always read from the DSM partition and swap partition on the SATA SSD.

That's what happens with Video Station 3.1.1-3168 installed in DSM 7.2.2. Only Video Station 3.1.0-3153 works. Did the script install Video Station or did you install Video Station? If the script installed it would show in package center as 30.1.0-3153 (note the 30). If you are not seeing...

This looks like becoming my most popular script. It's had 2,800 views in just 2 days! My Synology_HDD_db script has had 250,000 views over 18 months, which averages 550 views per day.

I've had a look at the CasaOS webpage, Demo and GitHub page... and I'm still confused. :rolleyes: Is it just a webui that contains some system info widgets, a file browser and a package installer for docker that adds container webui's to the CasaOS webui? It makes sense if you can install it...

Listing which files are edited would make it too easy for Synology to block the changes my scripts make. If they want to prevent my scripts from working they'll have to read the source code to figure it out :cool:

When you uninstall Video Station there's an option to "Remove Video Station database". Do NOT tick that option. Then when you install Video Station all your settings and metadata still exist.
