C2 Nutzungsbedingungen 2020, es geht nach Taiwan

Die neue Synology C2 Nutzungsbedingungen für 2020 sind bekannt. Es scheint das der Sitz in Deutschland werd aufgehoben und alle Aktivitäten in Taiwan untergebracht werden. Ich möchte gerne Geschäfte mit einem Deutschen Unternehmen machen und lieber nicht direkt mit Taiwan. Was Meint ihr?

Ich denke das steht jedermann frei mit Taiwan oder nicht Geschäfte zu machen.

To cope with future demands, Synology will expand our C2 service point from Germany to a worldwide basis, and adjust our organizational structure accordingly.

Effective January 1st, 2020, all Synology C2 services worldwide will be centrally operated and maintained by Synology Inc., the affiliate and parent entity of Synology GmbH, and therefore the ownership and operation of Synology C2 will be transferred from Synology GmbH to Synology Inc.

Except for this change of entity, our organizational re-structure does not affect the terms of our C2 services and Privacy Statement (See Terms of Service and Privacy Statement). If you have any questions, you may reach out to us directly.

Ich habe zunächst einmal die automatische Verlängerung (07.01.2020 bei mir) deaktivert und habe in dem Kündigungsgrundfeld einen entsprechenden Eintrag hinterlassen, dass ich mit dem Wechsel von Synology Deutschland zu Synology Inc. nicht einverstanden bin. Möchte ich mich erst einmal in Ruhe informieren und dann sehe ich weiter.

Kann mir nicht vorstelle, dass die Server umziehen, denn Synology wird klar sein, dass das ein Nogo für alle Geschäftskunden in der Eu ist.
Ich sehe das hier mehr als Gerücht und bin ganz entspannt.
Sollte das dennoch passieren besteht ein ausserordentlicher Kündigungsgrund, da ein wesentlicher, beworbener Sicherheitsaspekt nicht mehr besteht.

Ich habe heute eine Rückmeldung vom Synology Pre-Sales Support bekommen. In Kurzform: Server bleiben in Frankfurt, DSGVO wird weiterhin greifen, AGBs werden den Gerichtsstandort Düsseldorf behalten, Daten werden ohne Zustimmung des Kunden nicht ins Ausland verlagert.

Sie haben wohl sehr viele Nachfragen zu dem Thema bekommen und es soll in Kürze weitere Infos von Synology Deutschland dazu geben.

Alles andere hätte mich auch sehr erstaunt, noch dazu wo Synology ab 2020 Reseller für C2 zulassen will. In der EU geht da ohne DSGVO gar nix mehr.
