    Users can now create a Btrfs volume of up to 1 PB on specific Synology NAS models. This update automatically converts existing volumes that use the Btrfs (Peta Volume) file system to Btrfs. However, to create a volume larger than 200 TB, a RAID 6 storage pool and at least 64 GB of system memory are still required.Learn more
    The maximum single volume size supported by RS2423+/RS2423RP+ has been adjusted to 200 TB (with a minimum system memory requirement of 32 GB).

Ich war beim ersten lesen der Überschrift leicht irretiert, ich hatte erwartet DSM 7.2-64561 Update1 aber nein, sie nennen das neue Update jetzt DSM 7.2-64570, soll mir auch Recht sein.

Ich berichte dann.

ah ok, jetzt verstehe ich es! Die haben das vorige DSM 7.2-64561 vom Synology Server heruntergenommen und jetzt ist nur das neue DSM 7.2-64570 vorhanden! Und es ist für mehr Synology Modelle verfügbar als in den releasenotes angegeben wurde.
Aber am Besten selber nachsehen, ob es für euer Modell schon verfügbar ist:

Nachdem ich abermals Probleme mit dem Speicherplatz meiner Partition hatte, einige Logs (SMB+Protokollcenter) gelöscht und die DS neu gestartet habe, konnte ich das Update jetzt auch installieren. Das Ergebnis von df -h hat sich nicht wirklich verändert.

So war etwas "holprig" aber der Reihe nach und vorweg, es geht jetzt.

Also Update DSM 7.2-64570 manuell eingespielt (anders geht noch nicht, wird erst in ein paar Tagen/Wochen autom funktionieren)
Dauer ca. 10 Minuten, DS118 fährt hoch und meldet sich mit Peeeeeep Warnton und Status - LED blinkt gelb.
Keine Panik, kenn ich schon mein Verdacht Noctua Lüfter zickt öfter nach einem Update herum, bedeutet nach dem Update läuft der nicht mehr, WEIL das Update die Lüfterstufe runtersetzt von "Modus volle Geschwindigkeit" auf "Kühlmodus" und das mag der Noctua in der Synology nicht.
Also Kontrolle Hand hinten drauf, Verdacht bestätigt, kein Luftstrom spürbar.
Anmerkung an der Stelle für Leute die SecureSignIn verwenden, durch das Update wird SecureSignIn aktualisiert, dh. ihr könnt euch in dieser Zeit NICHT via SecureSignIn einloggen.
Entweder paar Minuten warten oder auf "Andere Anmeldemethode" zB mit Kennwort umschalten (Link im Anmeldefenster draufklicken).
Kennwort eingetippt, eingeloggt, Lüftermodus umgestellt auf Modus Volle Geschwindigkeit, DS am SCHALTER (!) heruntergefahren.
DS118 neu hochgefahren.
Hinweis:
Nicht erschrecken, unmittelbar nach dem Einschalten läuft der Noctua und geht dann wieder kurz aus! ABER nachdem das Hochfahren beendet ist, also DSM "geladen" wurde, übernimmt die zuvor korrekt eingestellte Lüftersteuerung und der Noctua läuft wieder auf voller Geschwindigkeiten.
Leute mit Originallüfter ( n ) sind davon nicht betroffen.

Mehrere Pakete werden während des DSM Updates automatisch aktualisiert. Nach dem Einloggen wurde bei mir noch Synology Photos aktualisiert da es bei manchen mit Hyperbackup Probleme gegeben haben dürfte mit SP. Kann ich persönlich nicht bestätigen hat bei mir immer funktioniert.

Ansonsten, ja schaut gut aus.

Also Aufpassen:
Zeit lassen und auch nach dem Hochfahren der Synology mehrere Minuten noch warten bis Secure Sign In fertig ist mit seinem Paketupdate!
Danach könnt ihr auch wie gewohnt via SecureSignIn einloggen.
Jene mit "Fremdlüftern" kontrolliert ob die Lüfter laufen, falls nicht, entweder einloggen und Modus hochstellen oder Synology nach paar Minuten noch mal per Einschalter herunterfahren und wieder neu starten und dann ebenfalls im Lüftermenü nachsehen bezüglich Lüftermodus auf "Modus volle Geschwindigkeit".

Auch von mir eine kurze Rückmeldung:
Manuelles Update von DSM 7.2-64561 auf DSM 7.2-64570 völlig problemlos. ~10 Pakete wurden automatisch aktualisiert, für Synology Photos wurde auch ein Update angeboten, aber nicht automatisch installiert.

Wie fast bei fast jedem größeren Update war hinterher /root (Homeverzeichnis von root) fast leer. Man sollte also dort nichts wichtiges ablegen (Links, Scripts etc) . Ich hatte das schonmal bei Synology bemängelt, jetzt liegt eine Textdatei dort mit Namen "FOR SYSTEM USE ONLY. DO NOT UPLOAD FILES HERE.". Ist nicht schlimm, sollte man nur wissen.

RS1221+ und Backup-DS218+ ebenfalls ohne Probleme beim Update. Viele Pakete autom durch das DSM Update aktualisiert und wie bei Benares ein roter Punkt als Hinweis im Paketzentrum für neues Paket von Synology Photos > Aktualisieren angeklickt, SP aktualisiert - alles läuft bisher.
Interessanterweise hatte die DS218+ mit ihren beiden Noctualüftern kein Problem beim Update, die RS1221+ ist mit Originallüftern bestückt.

Tipp:
Je nach leistungsfähigkeit von eurere Synology also CPU und RAM wartet nach dem Hochfahren eurer DS 10-15 Minuten da ev die Paketupdates noch nicht fertig sind bis ihr euch einloggt. Dann geht es auch mit SecureSignIn gleich wieder wenn man der Synology "Zeit gibt" alles korrekt zu Ende zu bringen.
RS1221+ und DS218+ habe ich jeweils nach dem Fertigen Hochfahren noch weitere 10 Minuten bis zum Einloggen gewartet, danach ging es sofort mit SecureSignIn problemlos.

Aber offensichtlich gab es noch Finetuning, wie man an den Paketupdates erkennen kann.

Ich frag mich, wieso das bei dir immer passiert und bei mir (DS1522+) nicht.
Vermutlich, weil bei mir in der /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf der Eintrag support_m2_pool="yes" inzwischen dauerhaft drin ist und bei dir erst per Scriptvon 007revad (evtl. zu spät?) reinkommt?

auch bei BS-Version 7.2. bietet er mir keine 7.2-xxxxx Versionen an als "aktuelle Version" von der ich auf 7.2-64570 aktualisieren kann.
Das neueste als "aktuelle Version" wird mir nur 7.1.1-42962 angezeigt. Egal ob ich BS-Version 7.2 oder BS-Version 7.1 wähle.

Aber ich kann links nichts was mit 7.2-xxxx auswählen (was ich aktuell habe).
Rechts kommt: 7.2-64570. Und auch der Download passt. Somit "alles kein Problem". Es geht nichts schief und man kommt ans Ziel.
Nur eben Links kann ich nicht das auswählen was ich schon hab, wenn ich schon auf 7.2-xxxx bin.

Die 7.2-64561 gibt es ja nicht mehr, die wurde durch die 7.2-64570 ersetzt. Daher ist sie links wohl nicht wählbar. Aber egal, du kannst links auch einfach was uraltes einstellen, entscheiden sind die Links unten oder was der Download-Button liefert.
