Fehlermeldung beim anmelden nach Update der Mail Station

Ich verzweifel echt. Der Mails Client soll nur die mails von Gmail abholen und die originale dort belassen! Mehr nicht. Kann doch nicht so schwer sein und hat vorher doch auch funktioniert......

the rule is quite simple: do NOT pretend to be someone your're obviously not. So googlemail.com is off the table in any case
Also one should specifiy a fully qualified domain name there. Not just a hostname. And more important this name should resolve to an external IP address.
If only an internal (LAN) name is used, then one can be sure to run into troubles when sending mail to the outside world.

Well, just the host name ("Basalt" ) does work for me...
Note that I do not (need to) access my Syno externally, other than for webmail.
Anyway, I think "synology.me" is the default choice.

Could you help us to disable your NTP and test your issue once again ?

And we also want to know if your system time on DS(which is stop synced with NTP server) will be different than your computer time (which is update by NTP server) to the "seconds" ?

Then also please try to re-enable pop3 and IMAP server see if it helps.

bei den Meldungen sterben dir scheinbar postfix Prozesse wie die Fliegen. Da werden Pfade nicht gefunden. Wenn du also diese Meldungen immer noch hast, dann würde ich mal Mailstation und Mailserver komplett deinstallieren. Neustarten und beide erneut installieren.
Btw: den Tip vom Syno Support bezüglich NTP hast du auchmal probiert? Der NTP kann mit dem dovecot (imap/pop3) erhebliche Probleme machen. Wobei bei das eigentlich keinen Einfluss auf postfix haben kann und der hat gemäss deinen Logs ja erhebliche Probleme

I guess this was due to pressing the right hand mouse button, seems like a part of the logs was copy/pasted to the command line

Strange.
Please double check if you are running the latest Mail Station version, AND if this package is suitable for your DS212+
To be sure, turn off hibernation, Syno will not sleep with pop3 running anyway.
Next, if still not working, I suggest you to contact Synology support once again. I know they are dead slow, so push hard and be patient

So, weiss mir leider nicht mehr anders zu helfen, als die Diskstation einmal auf dei Werkseinstellungen zurück zu setzen. Dafür muss ich ja all die daten sichern. Wo legt aber die Mailstation die Emails ab. Die wären mir schon wichtig. Hat da jemand eine Ahnung?

E-mails are saved in the user home folders.
Re-installing the DSM software should not erase this, but better safe than sorry.
You will need to backup anyway on a regular basis
