Ich meine nur, weil deine DSM Sprache deutsch ist.
Leider kann ich da nicht weiterhelfen. Hab das selbst noch nie gemacht. Ich werde es auch nie verstehen, warum man so viel Zeit in ein uraltes Gerät steckt. Irgendwann gibt es halt keine Updates mehr, das ist völlig normal und auch gut so. Denn diese Kisten haben die Leistung einfach nicht mehr. Sie sind auch nicht mehr zu gebrauchen, außer als Backup-Gerät, welches die meiste Zeit aus ist. Denn selbst DSM 6 bekommt keine Updates mehr. Da kaufe ich mir doch lieber ein aktuelleres Gerät und habe die neuesten Features, keine Sicherheitsprobleme und keine Pfuscherei.

Da hast du sicherlicht Recht, habe auch deswegen ein DS220+ kürzlich dazu gekauft, damit alles perfekt!
Das Gerät DS110j (bzw. DS112 jetzt) kann noch Neben-Backups bewältigen, ist auch weitgehend ausgeschaltet.
Nun, wenn du (mit Bezug auf "Hack/Mod Synology DSM for DS110J to DS112J") nicht weiter helfen kannst ist das OK nur wer kann mir im Forum weiter helfen? Andere haben die Änderung ja auch bewältigt!

Thank you very much for the tutorial.

I have a DS1512+ that I would like to convert into a DS1513+. These 2 NAS seem to be compatible.

1. unique": "synology_cedarview_1512+" -> unique": "synology_cedarview_1513+"
2. upnpmodelname="DS1512+" -> upnpmodelname="DS1513+"
3. synobios="cedarview" -> synobios="cedarview"

For me, it has worked until the step 8.
DSM_DS1512+_25556.pat (6.2.4 25556) is installed on my DS1512+ and I'm trying to upgrade to DSM_DS1513+_42218.pat (7.0.1-42218)
Then, when my NAS is starting to update, it's stopping at 2% and displaying an error message saying that the hardware is not compatible.
Do you have any idea about this error? And how can I resolve it?

hi to all, sorry for late reply but i don't have too much time in this period, for your problem, install/restore the base OS (i specify 300mb file) and try to install update 9 (is not too much important because DSM 6 overwrite all system)

same problem like up, before all install DSM base file, after you can install latest update, synolofgy assistant don't install update file if you don't have the base file DSM (300mb file)

Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. So I changed my DS1512+ for a newer NAS.

Worked fine for me also. 110j is now 112j at DSM6. But QuickConnect, DDNS via Synology and Hyper Backup Vault (connection from another Synology NAS) is not working.
Anyone experiencing the same?
