Mail Station 2 und Client

Ich habe das Dingenskirchen sowieso noch nicht wirklich verstanden.
Ich bin nun seit zig Wochen dabei, den Mailserver i.V.m. mit der Mailstation zu nutzen und weiß bis jetzt noch nicht, wie ich das Mistding konfiruieren soll.
Ich habe vor meine externe Mailkonten meiner Domain via Pop3 zu holen und die geholten Mails via internem IMAP auf der DS zu speichern.
Das Versenden soll natürlich auch über die DS gehen, damit die gesendeten Objekte auch auf der DS gespeichert werden. Das Problem mit variablen IPs bei Mailserver und eventuellen Blacklistes ist mir bekannt, aber ich nutze ja nicht den Mailserver zum direkten Versand an den Empfänger, sondern da ist ja noch der Server meiner Doamin zwischen geschaltet.

You don't have to send via your Syno to save the e-mails in the Sent folder, since all your Mail client folders will be synced anyway (incl Sent). However, if you do send via your Syno, advantage is that you only need to configure the login details once in the SMTP Relay section. I suggest using your ISP's mail server for outgoing (SMTP) mails.

Hello, thx for your help. But I would not like to save the e-mails in the sent folder on my local PC. I would like to save them on the Syno. Maybe I misunderstood you, but I would like to save every Mailtraffic on my syno. Thats why I'm going top set my current mails accounts from POP3 to IMAP. The reason why I want to send to Syno ist that the "internal outgoing sending" in my LAN is faster than sending out directly to my ISP's mail server. I do not have to wait until my ISP's mail server has completely received my outgoing mails.
Can you give me any ideas concerning to setup the right things to do so as described before.

We are on the same page.
Usually, your mail client (like TB) will keep a copy of your mail folders locally (eg on yr pc). This is 2-way: sent mails are also copied from pc to Syno.
Nevertheless, I do agree that sending via Syno is better.
Step 1: make it work directly (not via Syno) from your mail client and also from Roundcube. Use your ISP's SMTP server whenever possible.
Step 2: use SMTP Relay function from Mail Server package (instead of sending directly)

i have exactly the same problem with sending the the mails. if i want to receive and send different emails from mydomain.com (AAA@mydomain.com and BBB@mydomain.com) do i need to set up 2 accounts in roundcube? (one account for each adress?) because actually i collect the mails in 1 account but then i can not choose different sender.

i want to use the syno for sending the mails but i don t know how to set up the syno.

Du kannst im RC unter Einstellungen-> Reiter "Identitäten" verschiedene Absender erstellen, welche du dann beim Erstellen einer Mail aus einem Dropdown Menu wählen kannst

habe ich die auswahl dann im Outlook auch oder geht es über Outlook immer über den Standard SMTP server raus?

der Alias (Identität) hat nichts damit zu tun wie die Mail verschickt wird. Die geht immer noch über den eingestellten SMTP Server raus. Und nein diese Identitäten sind pro Client, also hast du die in Outlook nicht wenn du sie in RC erstellst

Wie mache ich das dann am besten das ich im Outlook der Absender wählen kann und trotzdem die Mails über die synology verschicken?

ich will nicht direkt von Rechner auf den SMTP gehen sondern als die synology machen lassen

Outlook kennt sicher auch was wie Indentitäten. Dann machst du es analog zu den Intentitäten im RC
Beim Versenden kommt dann der für den Account eingestellte SMTP Server zum Tragen, also deine DS. Allerdings wirst du es mit einer dynamischen IP recht schwer haben von der DS diese Mails an die Empfangsserver zu bringen. Im Wiki findest du mehr wie man das dann so machen kann, dass gmx Absender via gmx rausgehen und gmail via gmail ... Stichwort absenderbasiertes Relaying

Danke dir für den Tipp da werde ich mich mal danach umschauen. zur IP Adresse, ich habe eine statische IP von meiner Domain auf der ich diverse email Adressen habe dich ich abrufen und Absenderbasiert verschicken möchte. ich hoffe das geht alles ohne im Code rum zu fummeln.
