Thanks for the kindly awareness.
We have checked most of the processes but still cannot find out any process which would be the cause for this problem.
Also, we've tried our DS107+ with firmware 0844 to do the hibernation test which works fine with our compatible HDDs.
Therefore we suspect the root cause is due to the compatibility problem while I've added this model into our purchasing list to identify the cause for this problem at the same time.
As a temp suggestion, maybe you can try the following steps:
1) Backup your data and settings first.
2) Press the reset button twice for a clean installation.
3) Try whether the hibernation problem persists or not.
By the way, we've fixed the problem regarding the inconsist resluts from data command. Please kindly try again.

Sorry for keeping you wait.
After those testings we've performed on your system,
the hibernation problem may not due to the join domain service.
Since the problem persists even we shutdown the network
interface as a try, there might be other cause to this problem.
And we also find some strange behavior in this disk therefore
we suspect the root cause is due to the compatibility matter.
We're purchasing this HDD model and will perform a examination
more closely to find out the root caused.
I apologize for the inconveniences and I'm really sorry for not
providing useful information regarding your problem.
I'll get back to you once we have any result from the testing in our lab.

Thanks for the kindly update.
We still cannot find anything abnormal from the log therefore we would like to call back the system with the original ST3500320NS HDD for investigation if possible. We'll cover the freight for both way and send the HDD back to you after investigation. Meanwhile we'll provide you a DS109+ before you sending us this unit. In other words, you may keep using your DS107+ until getting the replacement(109+) then send us the DS107+ with the former HDD to us.
If you have concern sending the defect unit with HDD back to us, please kindly ask for RMA replacement with your local dealer.
Please let me know how you think about my proposal and I'll provide you the necesary documents for this shipment.

Good morning Elena,
the 109+ did arrive today. What a really nice unit – I do love the black case much more than the white one
But now for the facts: I shut down my 107+ and switched the WD10EADS HDD from the 107+ to the 109+. I did a complete new installation, activate hibernate_debug_tool, strip off the network cable and wait for more than 3 hours. Watching TV and observing the 109+…
And, YES, everything is fine! The HDD LED switched off after around 30 minutes and stayed off until now. So it seems to be, that everything is now working absolutely perfect!
Probably a new kernel log will help you to recognize some differences in handling the same HDD (the WD 10EADS) through my old 107+ and the newly 109+. Therefore you’ll find a logfile attached.
As discussed I’ll send back to you the defect 107+ together with my Seagate HDD via UPS tomorrow. As soon I’ll have the tracking number, I’ll let you know. Please feel free to keep the HDD as long as you need it!
