The Insyde is empty on both of mine as well. But the EFI folder contains:
SynoBootLoader.conf and SynoBootLoader.efi are different on both my Synology NAS that use efi.
Your missing SynoBootLoader.conf would probably look like this:
Someone with a DS918+ (or DS1019+ or DS718+) could give you a copy of their synoboot1
They'd need to change "MYSHAREDFOLDER" to a shared folder on their DS918+.
