ds106: Sehr lange Boot-Zeit

Hallo zusammen,

Seit einiger Zeit hat sich die Boot-Zeit meiner Synology ds-106 von ca. 1 Minute auf über 7 Minuten gesteigert. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass er beim Boot jedesmal einen Filesystem-Check macht (vor dem Boot-Beep-Signal rattert die Station ca. 5 Minuten auf der Disk), bin aber nicht ganz sicher.

dmesg oder /var/log/messages zeigt mir auch etwas in der Richtung:

Zwischen den beiden Meldungen liegen 5 Minuten, ich vermute also schwer, dass die Station da jedesmal einen fsck absetzt...

Frage: Wie kann ich das unterbinden? Leider ist tune2fs nicht installiert, sodass ich den mount-count ändern könnte. Es ist echt nervig, jedes mal fast 10 minuten auf die Station warten zu müssen...

meine DS 106j mit neuster firmware v2.0.3 - 0458 braucht auch plötzlich zwischen 5 und 7 minuten, um alle services wie z.B web, ftp etc. zu starten.
dies ist echt mühsam !

ich habe auch diese Meldungen in /var/log/messages gefunden und keine Ahnung, was das genau bedeuten soll. Leider geben auch andere Info-Ressourcen dazu nichts her.

Hat hier jemand eine Idee?

Wie man sieht hat meine DS fast 9 Minuten zum Starten gebraucht.
Manche haben behauptet das läge allein nur an der externen USB-Platte.
Der Effekt war aber bei der Erstinstallation noch nicht da. Erst seid ich die Platte mal alternativ als eSATA-Platte angeschlossen habe.

Was du machen kannst, wäre, lass den Synology-Support auf die DS schauen. Die haben doch recht oft gute Erfahrungen im Umgang mit solche Situationen und können helfen.

Ich habe den Grund bzw. die Lösung im internationalen Syno Forum gefunden
Ursache ist der 'quotacheck', der bei jedem Start prüft, wieviel Platz von den
einzelnen Benutzern und Gruppen belegt wird. Da ich keine Reglementierungen
dieser Art benutze, habe ich - basierend auf diesem Artikel
folgende Änderungen vorgenommen:

In /etc/synoinfo.conf und in /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf die Zeile
supportquota="yes" durch
supportquota="no" ersetzen

In /etc/rc und in /etc.defaults/rc das 'mount' Kommando wie folgt überarbeitet:
aus mount -o remount,usrquota,grpquota${MOUNT_OPT} $ThisVolume
wird mount -o remount${MOUNT_OPT} $ThisVolume

Der Bootvorgang dauert jetzt statt knapp 7 Minuten noch 75 Sekunden.

Hallo,
das habe ich nun auch an meiner DS-106 mit 914. Auf quota bist Du ja schon gekommen und die Wirkung abgestellt. Auf die Ursache bin ich erst über die serielle Konsole gekommen, da sind die Prozesse geschwätziger.
linuxrc.syno aus dem flash ruft upgrade.sh auf und die prüft

in der letzten Zeile wird in der Ausgabe von dmesg nach "recovery complete" gesucht und das Ergebnis in IsClean gespeichert. Ganz zum Schluß von upgrade.sh kommt

Es gibt drei magische Lösungswege:

1] lass die Supporter von Synology draufschauen (4 von 5 Forenbesucher teilten uns mit, dass sie damit Erfolg hatten ) ...
2] installier den ganzen Kram solange neu, bis es normal geht (2 von 3 Forenbesucher teilen mit, dass sie damit Erfolg hatten)
3] schmeiss die Kiste gegen die Wand und sagt ihr das vorher (auch hierüber wurde ein Erfolg vermeldet )

zu 2. vermutlich der beste Ansatz, habe ja auch viel mit der Kiste gespielt
zu 3. NEVER, da leg ich lieber eine Hand auf und sage ein paar beruhigende Worte, damit habe ich bisher mehr Erfolg als mit Androhung körperlicher Gewalt

Hallo,
ich habe die Platte mal per SATA-USB Adapter an den Laptop gehängt und von dort e2fsck drüberlaufen lassen. 196 mal ohne fsck gemountet worden und ein paar Index Fehler, den genauen Wortlaut hab ich aber nicht im Kopf. Wieder in die DS und die bootet brav und schnell. Neustart angestoßen und was rauscht da über die serielle, "umount failed, 16" und dann braucht sie wieder lange zum booten. Ein paar Dinge noch gesichert und dann die Platte am Adapter koplett platt gemacht und alles von vorn. Jetzt tut sie wie sie soll.

Wer Probleme mit mit dem langen Start hat, hat auch ein Problem mit dem Filesystem auf der Datenpartition. Das abschalten von quota umgeht den check, löst aber nicht Filesystemproblem.
