Scheinbar reichen die ausgelesen Werte aus dem Startpost alleine nicht aus. Es müssen die FARM-Werte zusätzlich betrachtet werden. Problem ist hier, dass die Smartmontools, die bei Synology derzeit implementiert sind, dafür nicht ausreichen. Anleitung, wie man diese unter DSM auf die benötigte Version 7.4 bringt, habe ich gepostet. Ich rate allerdings auf produktiven NAS-Systemen davon ab.

Falls möglich, setze deine Werte mal noch in ein Code-Fenster im Forum, ist so fast nicht lesbar - zumindest nicht am Smartphone. 😉

Mich irritiert gerade die Stundenzahl, die ist bei beiden Nr. 2 und Nr. 3 HDDs gleich - 11159 Std. und bei Nr. 1
11158 Std. (geringfügige Abweichung zu den beiden anderen.

Im Prinzip müssten die ja alle gleichzeitig in einem Rechner gelaufen sein?
oder Zufall?

Hatte ich auch gesehen, allerdings kann es natürlich sein, dass die im gleichen Gerät vorher gelaufen sind.

Diesen Fall bezweifle ich eben, das wäre schon ein extremer Zufall, wenn die im gleichen Gerät gelaufen wären, trotz daß der Handel dazwischen liegt.

Diesen Fall bezweifle ich eben, das wäre schon ein extremer Zufall
Hier ist die Bestätigung von Heise über das Auslesen der FARM-Werte bei Seagate HDDs. Scheint also bei meinen 3 ersten HDDs tatsächlich Zufall zu sein, die Vierte weicht deutlich ab.

Bislang haben wir noch keine Meldungen zu weiteren Fällen dieser Art bekommen. Die FARM-Werte einer Seagate-Festplatte lassen sich über die smartmontools mit dem Befehl smartctl -l farm /dev/sd[X] ermitteln.

Smartmontools 7.4 gibt es auch für Windows. Ich denke, dass wir dann dort noch einige Daten von anderen Foren-Usern hier sehen werden.

Das ist gut, da kann man dann auch ausgebaute HDDs mit einem Adapter testen.

So schaut es aus. FARM-Werte müssen scheinbar allerdings auch unter Windows per Powershell oder CMD ausgelesen werden. Mit Rechtsklick aufs Laufwerk waren keine FARM-Werte dabei, allerdings habe ich im Rechner auch keine Seagate Laufwerke verbaut - FARM-Werte scheinen auch Seagate-spezifisch zu sein. Bei Western Digital und Sansung SSDs gab es keine Ausgabe wie bei Seagate.

Ich habe unter Windows auch nur sehr flüchtig drüber geschaut.

danke für deine Antwort.

Scheinbar reichen die ausgelesen Werte aus dem Startpost alleine nicht aus. Es müssen die FARM-Werte zusätzlich betrachtet werden. Problem ist hier, dass die Smartmontools, die bei Synology derzeit implementiert sind, dafür nicht ausreichen. Anleitung, wie man diese unter DSM auf die benötigte Version 7.4 bringt, habe ich gepostet. Ich rate allerdings auf produktiven NAS-Systemen davon ab.

Falls möglich, setze deine Werte mal noch in ein Code-Fenster im Forum, ist so fast nicht lesbar - zumindest nicht am Smartphone. 😉

Ich habe folgende HDD 2x 16TB Seagate Exos X X16 ST16000NM001G 256MB 3.5" (8.9cm) SATA 6Gb/s
Leider bin ich ein wenig überfordert mit der Anleitung zum Auslesen der SMART-Werte. Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, lade ich mir dieses Tool https://gsmartcontrol.shaduri.dev/screenshots und baue die HDDs aus dem NAS aus und schließe sie an meinen PC an. Leider verfüge ich derzeit nur über einen Laptop und kann die HDDs dort nicht anschließen. Daher wollte ich nachfragen, ob du mir erklären kannst wie ich die FARM-Werte der HDDs per Console vom Laptop auslesen kann?
Per Console vom Laptop habe ich auch die geposteten Werte im Thread ausgelesen.

@Raphael5000 du musst einen anderen Befehl nehmen:
nicht: sudo smartctl -a -d sat /dev/sata2
sondern: sudo smartctl -l farm /dev/sata2
